BEER & WINE PERMITS (T.A.B.C.)
Effective February 1, 2014, due to Legislative changes passed by the 83rd legislature (SB 1035) state fee will be collected directly by TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission), which had been previously collected by the county Tax Assessor-Collector’s office. However, Cameron County will be required to continue collecting, through the Tax Assessor-Collector’s office, the county portion of the license fee. Please note that our office only handles the payments for such applications according to the fee schedule (See the T.A.B.C. Fee Schedule Chart.) sent to us by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. *Note: Before processing payments for beer & wine licenses, Tax Office Clerks will verify the following:
*Both Real Estate & Personal Property Taxes must be paid on premises where license is being applied for.
