In early August, our Cameron County Public Health outreach team was busy participating in Back-to-School events through the Community Engagement Program. These events, organized by local school districts, clinics, and police departments, were held to support families in need of school supplies. The high demand for supplies in our area was evident, with more than 1,500 people served in just the first two weeks of the month. August is always a hectic but rewarding time for our team as they travel across Cameron County to ensure that families are prepared for the upcoming school year.
Cameron County Public Health is grateful to the community partners for keeping us in mind and inviting us to these important events. We are always here to support our community’s health and well-being.
