Juvenile Specialty Court

Accountability Creates Trust - Juvenile Specialty Court

A.C.T. (Accountability Creates Trust) Juvenile Specialty Court will divert moderate to high risk juveniles with co-occurring disorders from placement and/or TJJD by addressing the criminogenic risk factors and providing them with intensive case management and treatment services with court involvement. Program participants will be between the ages of 14-17 who been diagnosed with mental health or a co-occurring disorder. The A.C.T. Juvenile Specialty Court Team will closely supervise and monitor juveniles to assure that treatment and support services are provided, in efforts to keep the juvenile at home with the family. Focus will be placed on accountability, and juveniles will be responsible for participating in therapy and supportive services, random urinalysis testing, GPS monitoring system, service to the community, along with following conditions of probation. The A.C.T. Juvenile Specialty Court will not only hold juveniles accountable, but will focus on recovery and build trust in order to avoid removal from the home.
